FAQs
Where is the Practice?
Please follow the 'how to find us'link for map and directions.
Do you have parking?
Yes, parking is available for the duration of your appointment.
Do you accept credit/debit card payment?
Yes, cards, cheques, cash or BACS on request.
Can I talk to a practitioner before making an appointment?
Yes, we welcome telephone enquiries.
Do you offer appointments outside of normal business hours?
Yes. Most of our practitioners offer some out-of-hours appointments. The practice is open on a Tuesday evening until 9pm and Saturday morning until 1 pm. Please follow the link to Fees and Practice Hours.
What shall I wear?
You will normally be asked to remove some of your clothing so that we can conduct a thorough examination. Clothing that is loose and easily removed is best. You may wish to bring a pair of shorts if your pain is in your legs or pelvis. Changing areas are provided in each consulting room.
Will my private health insurance policy (PHI) reimburse your fees?
Yes, in most instances. However, criteria vary and so we advise you to discuss this with your PHI. Some PHIs stipulate GP or Consultant referral.
Do you have disabled access?
Yes. Disabled access and ground floor consulting rooms are available. We also have a stair lift if you need help to get upstairs.
Do your offer home visits?
Not as a general rule, since time out of the Practice often prohibits this. However, we may be able to offer advice regarding alternative arrangements.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
A list of current medication would be helpful, together with the results of any recent scans/X-rays or blood tests.
Do you write reports?
Yes. Patients sometimes ask us to prepare reports for their work place or for solicitors following industrial or road traffic injuries. If you are referred by your GP, we will keep him/her informed of your progress. We will ask for your consent before we send anyone details of your condition.
What if you can't help me?
We will try to help you decide what to do next. We may offer to contact your GP if you are happy for us to do so.
Do you give talks?
Yes. We are happy to arrange these for medical practices, sports clubs and local meeting groups.
